Do you deliver?
We do not, we use third party apps Delivery easy & Uber Eats,* we know sometimes it may arrive cold or in a state its out of our control sadly. We always aim to work with drivers to get you the best quality product but sometimes its a gong show we share your pain & frustations.
Pizza by the slice?
You know it! the cabinet is always full for a quick bite.
Do you sell Alcohol & Have Seating
We do not however the Underpass building itself has it own bar feel free to grab one from them and sit where ever you want there's ample space
Do we accept cash?
Sure do! however we prefer cashless paywave or swipe insert *no surcharge we'll take that hit on that we feel its a dog move by the big honchos to charge customers a fee for a simple convince and wont have it.
Why is your cheese pizza called the Portnoy
Simply just named after Dave Portnoy a controversial guy in the American pizza scene love him or hate him he does good things for small business *ONE BITE EVERYONE KNOWS THE RULES
Do you cater?
Not really... we love big group orders or work shouts we can sort you 10-15 whole pies and deliver to your work place for a small fee on top , and can host large groups at the underpass with a heads up. *if you ask super nicely though we still have a couple old Gozney XL ovens we used to use at brewery pop ups so may consider.........
Do you have Gluten free ?
Sorry guys no we do not, our kitchen prep space is very small we just cant risk it at the moment we'd love to expand , GRUMPYS serve up a delicious gluten free donut and PAPA's does fries both in the same building if you fancy .
Vegan Options & Halal?
Again sorry guys we know it isn't cool. our dough mix uses a small amount of honey in it, it helps retain moisture being hygroscopic in nature & we notice it gives a better re heat the next day if there's any leftovers, it also contains simple sugars that help develop our crust and give a unique flavor, our meat is not processed under Halal practice we are a local New Zealand company we use local farmed meats butchered by our suppliers.
Dairy free cheese?
Sure why not just don't order the miso cream based pizzas and you will be fine
Allergens
We use gluten flours, sesaeme seeds on some pizzas, Dairy if you are unsure about something please let us know.
